Okay, so you now have the MIDA Multi-Tool and MIDA Mini-Tool… What’s next? I’m glad you asked! If you’ve stumbled across this post, you’re in luck. Today, I’m going to show you how to obtain the exotic hand cannon, Sturm, and it’s legendary sidearm companion, Drang.

Without further to do, here’s how to get Sturm and Drang in Destiny 2!

The Sturm is an exotic hand cannon and the Drang is a legendary sidearm. Here’s a guide on how to get the Sturm and Drang in Destiny 2!How to Get Sturm and Drang

1. Get to Level 20

Before you can start the quest for Sturm and Drang, you need to reach level 20. Haven’t done that already? Minimize this guide, get to max level, reopen this page, and continue reading!

2. Travel to Nessus and Complete the Quests “O Captain” and “My Captain”

Once you reach level 20, go to Nessus and start the quest “O Captain” from Failsafe. If you can’t find the quest, open up your map and look for a blue banner with a white crown on it.

To complete “O Captain”, you need to locate four audio logs on Nessus. The audio logs are relatively close to Failsafe, so you don’t have to travel far. After collecting the audio logs, you’ll have to find a satellite array and defend it from the Vex. Once the Vex is eliminated and their memory is collected, you’ll “rendevous with the captain” and pick up another quest.

The next quest you’ll pick up is called “My Captain”. This quest is much easier than the one before. During “My Captain”, you’ll follow the Harpy, encounter a platforming puzzle, and kill a few Vex. At the very end, you’ll inspect the body of a dead captain for the last audio log.

Once “My Captain” is finished, you’ll receive the legendary sidearm, Drang, from Master Rahool at the Tower.

3. Grab the Quest “Relics of the Golden Age” from Master Rahool

The first part of “Relics of the Golden Age” has three objectives:

  • Decrypt Legendary Engrams (5 total).
  • Decrypt Exotic Engrams (1 total).
  • Defeat Fallen on Nessus with Drang (10 total).

These three objectives can be completed in any order you wish. Fallen can be found in Exodus Black on Nessus. Hopefully, you’ll have more luck than I did with legendary and exotic engrams.

4. Talk to Tyra Karn at the Farm

Once you’ve finished those three objectives, head back to Master Rahool. He will tell you to visit the Farm and speak with Tyra Karn. Welcome to the easiest part of your Sturm journey:

  • Bring the results of the Cryptarch’s research to Tyra Karn.

5. Pick Up the Quest “Relics of the Golden Age” (Part 2) from Tyra Karn

Time to go back to Nessus! The second part of “Relics of the Golden Age” has two objectives:

  • Using the Drang, defeat multiple Fallen without reloading (10 total).
  • Using the Drang, defeat powerful Fallen (10 total).

I completed the first objective while doing public events in Exodus Black on Nessus. Make sure you aim for weak spots and minimize reloading. If you’re playing on a crowded server, try to get the last hit on the Fallen.

Defeating powerful Fallen was more difficult, however, I’ve discovered a shortcut! In Exodus Black, there is a Lost Sector to the left of the landing zone. The leader of that Lost Sector is a powerful Fallen. Run in there, kill the leader, and return to orbit. Repeat this 10 times until you finish the objective.

6. Return to Tyra Karn and Grab “Relics of the Golden Age” (Part 3)

For part three of “Relics of the Golden Age”, you’ll need to join a fireteam:

  • Head to Prodromus Down on Nessus with a fireteam and destroy the Servitor Kendriks-7 in the “Quest: Exodus Crash” strike.

I recommend using this Destiny Tracker if you can’t find another guardian to join your party. Servitor Kendriks-7 will be found towards the end of the quest in a dark room. Once the Servitor is defeated, return to the Farm; there’s no need to finish the strike.

Now that you’re done decrypting engrams, slaying Fallen with your Drang, and beating up giant eyeball monsters with your friends, head back to Tyra Karn and receive your Sturm! Sturm is a powerful hand cannon that pairs very nicely with your new sidearm, Drang.
